Situated 45 mins from Melbourne CBD Woodend cottage is a self-contained quintessential French provincial cottage located on the grounds of Lithuanica. This 2-bedroom cosy abode situated about 3km from the quiet township of Woodend. The property is fully equipped and can accommodate up to 4 adults (1 queen size and 2 singles or King) and is nestled among the gum trees and situated on a vantage point offering undulating views of the Black Forest. The cottage comprises spacious open plan living dining as well as generous outside barbecue and dining vista.
Situated on a small hobby farm the accommodation takes full use of its surrounds. The dooners/duvets are made courtesy of Jason & Eric the resident Alpacas. The cottage is perfectly equipped to cope with the uniquely extreme weather of the Macedon Ranges climate, this includes reverse cycle heating-cooling, all beds equipped with electric blankets…and for those romantic evenings, a wood fire heater with sustainable wood from naturally felled trees on the property.
If you’re an avid chef why not venture into the fully stocked herb garden.
If you wish to escape to the country with your extended family the cottage is pet friendly.
The flora and fauna at Woodend cottage offers visitors a veritable taste of the uniquely Aussie experience. In addition to the occasional Kangaroo and Echidna, Ruby the pig also lives on the property and she welcomes any food treats. Surrounded by the rare Blackwood gum trees glimpse up to the skies and you may be lucky enough to encounter Keano the resident Koala. Wake up to the sound of the Kookaburras and listen to the frog symphony when the sun goes down. And the stars..say no more, just go outside and look up to the skies!
